This gem appeared today September 22nd 2015 on the front page of the the Times of India. They are planning a law to force you to save your online chats for 90 days – unencrypted.
Are these people who are making the rules, mad, crazy or just plain stupid? I don’t even know where to get started. Are you supposed to keep stuff even if your storage gets full? What about stuff that is offensive or boring?
Apart from the security and privacy risks involved, is this even practical? And what are they going to ask next? Write down everything you say in a notebook? Or perhaps record it on your phone?
People who make such rules should be made a laughing stock…
